If you are facing the uncertainties, anxiety, and worries of upcoming medical intervention, surgery or even recovery from an accident or trauma, or other traumatic life challenge, where do you go for holistic support?
Take my hand – I will guide you through a self healing protocol to help you feel safe and get the most out of your medical procedure.
Our medical services are fantastic at fixing the body when it is broken or sick. However, what about the more subtle parts of our being?
For example the emotional effects, the mental effects, and even spiritual effects – such as our sense of purpose and meaning, our sense of connection to something greater than ourselves, our faith and even our trust in the universe.
All of these things can be impacted by sickness, accident any kind of surgery or medical intervention and trauma.
How do we support the healing of the whole self – our bodies, minds, hearts and souls in order to effect the most profound and full recovery? How do we prepare ourselves mentally, emotionally and physically for the often traumatic effects of medical intervention itself?
As a Healer for over 30 years, offering various modalities including Spiritual, Energy, Reiki and Shamanic Sound Healing, I have much experience in supporting the whole person. Since training in Person Centred Counselling I have spent over 35 years honing my listening skills, and developing deep empathy and compassion. Now as an Interfaith Minister and Soul Friend (Spiritual Companion) I wish to share these skills, my open heart, and my holding hand as part of my Ministry, to those who feel unsupported or just need someone who can really focus on them. Perhaps helping them to discover what they need not just to survive, but thrive.
In 2023, after years of hip pain, my left hip joint suddenly completely collapsed, leaving me in a wheel chair, unable to walk, stand, sit or lie without terrible pain. When I realised I needed a hip replacement I began to prepare for surgery and recovery, and I used all the skills and knowledge from a lifetime of supporting others in their healing journeys, to help myself.
I had terrible hospital phobia, from losing both parents and my grandmother from cancer within 7 years of each other. Also during this time my mother in law had a stroke and was left paralysed, and my husband had a brain tumour and was left with epilepsy, brain damage and a whole different personality. I simply associated hospitals with huge loss.
I worked hard on preparation, supporting myself holistically, by preparing my mental, physical and emotional bodies for what was to come. I used all my experience to manage my fears, remain calm and peaceful, in a space of love, surrender, hope and healing throughout the process and after surgery emerged more whole and healthy than I’ve ever been.
I believe I experienced this so that I can help others do the same.
Medical professionals do not have the time or experience to support us holistically. It is not their responsibility or remit.
So, if you need a hand to hold yours, to support you every step of the way from diagnosis to recovery, or during any part of that journey, please get in touch and see if you feel that I am the person who can hold a safe, sacred space for your healing process.
