HOLDING SPACE – Ceremonies for sacred moments

I offer ceremonies for all of life’s most important occasions: from new beginnings such as baby naming, hand-fasting and weddings, through house blessings, marking menarche and menopause, to honouring the more painful transitions around loss, funerals and divorce. Each important stage of life can be better integrated and celebrated when acknowledged with a ceremony.

For any milestone on life’s journey, I would be privileged to hold a safe, sacred space for your precious moments to be recognised. My work is to co-create with you a unique and meaningful ceremony to mark your special occasion in a way that you won’t forget, and that will honour it beautifully. I listen deeply and intuitively to your needs, ensuring that the ceremony reflects your personality, and the meaning of the event for you.

I particularly love to co-create ceremonies outside, working with the elements, nature and the unseen forces that reveal the profound beauty and mystery of life. I revere all paths that lead us into deeper connection and to the expression of love, harmony, compassion and peaceful coexistence with all living beings. As such, no matter your personal beliefs, faith, traditions or roots, I can work with you to bring magic and power to the celebration of your special time.

Ways to make your ceremony uniquely memorable include:

TIME: You can choose a special time of day, perhaps a sunset wedding, or another significant hour, or day of the week or month. Perhaps it’s an auspicious day for you such as a Beltane or solstice event. You might time it to the moon or astrological calendar.

PLACE: Choosing a natural space that is meaningful to you, such as a local forest, under your favourite tree, on a mountain, beach or by a river, or the gardens of a beautiful estate. Perhaps even your own or a family member’s garden.

SPACE: You might want to include the elements and four sacred directions, creating a circle with an altar, flowers, plants, crystals, water, candles, feathers, incense. We can call in your ancestors, even bringing chairs or allocating space for them, naming them perhaps and welcoming them in.

RITUALS: We can include rituals of connection, opening or letting go working with the elements, such as transforming through fire, blessing or cleansing through water, grounding through the earth. We can bring in deities or other meaningful spiritual symbols, or maybe plant a rose bush or tree to symbolise flourishing and growth for a child or union. You might want to share a wine blending ritual, sipping together from a quaich, tying your hands to be united, or untying a knot for releasing from the past. A ring blessing by the guests can be beautiful. It is limited only by your intent and imagination.
